Hello everybody. I've been picking up more gigs on the bass guitar and I'm performing more in Gainesville FL all the time so check out my performance dates to the right and come check it out! Stark Raving's new album entitled "Kackle Jackle" is in the Mixing/mastering stage and will be released soon! This is a truly epoch album and you should get it when it comes out! Check out the video and watch for me! I'm also transcribing all of the trumpet, EVI, and trombone solos on the album which will be released with the album.

After 4 great years of Denton TX and UNT, I'm moving elsewhere to finish my masters degree. I found a great opportunity to study at UF where I'll also be a graduate assistant. I'm gigging in town and working on developing my local private teaching studio and plan to soon develop my online SKYPE studio.

Relocating to Gainesville Florida
I just closed out the spring semester at UF and I'm looking forward to the summer to focus on shedding and writing. The online classes I taught were a success and next semester they will be so dialed in. The UF Combo 1 and Jazz Band spent time recording in the studio this semester and will have great promotional materials because of it. The jazz program at UF is really taking off due to the great work done by Scott Wilson to cultivate a great jazz environment. The release of "Kackle Jackle" has been delayed temporarily but only to create more suspense for when it actually does come out! I've begun Skype lessons and they are great so far! Contact me if you'd like to take trombone or jazz lessons over Skype!

This month is the first performances of the new band Funkyard. Led by Juan Roland, this funky group is playing Monday nights at The Jam in Gainesville before the regular Monday night jam. This month is also the International Trombone Festival in Columbus Georgia. the ITF is hosted in different locations every year and this year it's a 5 hour drive away from UF. The ITF is THE festival to attend for trombone players everywhere. I will be performing with the UF Trombone Ensemble twice during the week. I'll also be checking out new trombones at the exibits, artist clinics, and live performances. I'm extremely excited to see guest artists Alex Isles, Wycliffe Gordon, and Fred Wesley. This will be a festival to remember!

The International Trombone Festival was in Columbus Georgia this year and it was AMAZING! The exhibits and artists were very cool! This month is it! The release of Stark Raving's new album Kackle Jackle. The CD's are being copied at this very moment! Also, my transcription book of all the Trumpet, EVI, and Trombone solos is in the final editing stages. This is extremely cool! We'll kick off our CD at the Stark Raving Combo Camp http://scottwilsonjazz.wix.com/starkravingjazzcamp in Orlando next week! I'm also gearing up to visit Japan during August. Those of you in the Osaka area, check out my performance dates! You'll be able to purchase Stark Raving's new album and even hear some songs off the album!

Hey everyone! Welcome to my website! I've been traveling a bit recently. The JEN conference in Dallas Texas was incredible. The UF jazz graduate crew volunteered to help out with keeping everything flowing smooth. We did more than that and I was able to fill in for some artist-clinicians in adjudicating some of the bands. I am departing to attend the NAMM show as well. If you will be there, come visit me at the B.A.C. custom horns booth. The Kackle Jackle album is beginning to get some reviews. Welcome to my website! I just graduated with my Masters from the University of Florida and working on some new projects. I've been working on my 3 future books to be, and working making charts for bands who need their music notated. If you know any vocalists or musicians who want their music written out, let them know I can do it. I've also been writing my own music, and notating some of it, for my album. Hello visitor! Thanks for stopping by! This is my official site, I hope you take a look around and listen to some clips. I recently relocated to Los Angeles and am looking for work around the area. I've been fortunate enough to receive a few paying gigs but especially thankful for the kindness of the other musicians I've met here during great sessions and rehearsals. The city is also feeding my inspiration and creativity to write so I'm getting into that more. The online music studio is also building. A blog will be coming soon to the website specifically for the students.
